Terms & Conditions – Alison Jenkins Photography

Training, Weddings & Photographic Event Coverage

1. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions form the entire agreement between Alison Jenkins Photography (“the Photographer/Trainer”) and the Client. No variation shall be effective unless agreed in writing (including email) by both parties.

2. Booking Fee & Payment

  • A non‑refundable booking fee, together with a completed booking form, secures the Photographer’s time and services.

  • This fee covers administrative work, diary reservation, and loss of opportunity.

  • The remaining balance is payable:

    • Training: two weeks before the agreed training date.

    • Weddings & Events: four weeks before the event date unless otherwise agreed.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice (training) or less than 14 days’ notice (weddings/events) are not eligible for a refund.

  • If the Photographer cancels, the Client will be offered either a full refund or an alternative date.

3. Travel & Expenses

  • Travel within 15 miles of SG12 is included at no extra cost.

  • Travel beyond this distance is charged at 55p per mile (round trip).

  • Additional expenses such as parking, tolls, venue fees, permits, or accommodation (if required) will be agreed with the Client in advance.

4. Weather, Delays & Venue Conditions

Training Sessions

  • Training will proceed as scheduled, weather permitting.

  • In the event of unsuitable weather, the session may be rearranged at no extra cost.

Weddings & Events

  • The Photographer is not responsible for restrictions imposed by venues, registrars, officiants, or event organisers that may affect photography.

  • The Client is responsible for securing any required permissions for photography.

  • The Photographer will make reasonable efforts to capture agreed images, but cannot guarantee specific shots due to weather, lighting, venue rules, or unforeseen circumstances.

5. Force Majeure

  • The Photographer shall not be liable for failure to perform obligations where such failure is due to causes beyond reasonable control (including illness, injury, crime, extreme weather, equipment failure, or other unforeseen events). Liability is limited to a refund of all monies paid. Nothing in this agreement limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot be excluded under UK law.

  • Commercial use (e.g., advertising, resale, publication) requires written permission.

If any provision of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
